Florida wedding month??

Valerie, on October 18, 2019 at 1:25 PM Posted in Florida Planning 1 8
Hello, I am getting married in the Tampa Bay area, and I cannot decide which month! I recently moved here, so I haven’t experienced every month, and everyone I talk to says completely different things. Ive heard November is beautiful, but I’d love to get married in the spring if possible, maybe February or March? What is the mildest and driest month without being too hot or crowded with spring breakers? End of February? Early March?

Florida weather, other than our 9-10 months of summer, can be too unpredictable to pick a month based on expected weather. We chose November 9, knowing it could be 50 (though highly unlikely), it could be 90. And we’re having an outside wedding & reception. At three weeks out we’re starting to watch the long range weather reports, hoping for the heat to break before the wedding.

We also picked November. We didn’t pick for weather reasons though (well kind of?🤨). I have always had a dream of doing a winter starry night theme, however December was just not feasible for everyone so we (mostly I) compromised with November. We are also doing an outdoor evening wedding so that was another factor. I say if spring is when you want to do your wedding then do it! I had a friend who had a ceremony on Clearwater beach 2 years ago at about 4:30 in the afternoon and it was warm but it actually wasn’t totally scorching hot. Good luck in whichever you choose ☺️

November was my ideal month for the venue was not available for the month so I’ll be December 1st, I feel it’s the most decent weather

Thank you!! I cane to visit in early March last year and it was already super hot when in the sun, 80s, beach weather. So i was thinking maybe late February would be a little cooler. I know Floridians say February is “cold”, but I think it would be nice to be a bit cooler than 80 degrees and more enjoyable for the guests.

I’m a native Floridian, I agree February is chilly sometimes but I would just do however you’d like ☺️

January and February are chilly months here. I am a native Floridian. November and December are dry and mild. March is okay but by April it’s hot.

Thankyou!! Id rather have the month of November, but due to timing I think my next best option is early March. Hopefully before it’s too hot and before all the spring breakers!

We are doing March! (also a native Floridian) Weather can be a little unpredictable but usually it's still pretty nice in March.
