Florist budget?

Elizabeth, on August 8, 2017 at 3:16 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 22

I am in the very early stages of booking a florist.

Just for reference, how much are y'all budgeting for your floral arrangements? What is your wedding size, and location, please?

Thank you!

I just booked my florist! I came to about $1100 with tax, my budget was $1000. I'm located in Dallas. I ordered one bridal bouquet, 1 MOH bouquet, 1 basic bridal portrait bouquet, 1 groom bout., 2 groomsmen bouts., 1 officiant bout., 12 reception floral centerpiece's for tables, 4 swags to hang on the pergola for the ceremony, and a collar for our dog (who will be the ring bearer).

Parent/grandparent flowers would have added an additional $300 so we decided to skip that.

ETA- the my bouquet and my fiancés boutonnière with have succulents and other "specialty" flowers, which raises the price a little. Keeping the bridal party down was extremely helpful though!

My florist is $1500. That includes my bouquet, ceramony arch, 2 bouts, 3 corsages, 7 centerpieces, and bistro lighting. It's more than I wanted to spend but it is what it is.... We live in South Florida and all our flowers are of tropical variety

We're spending about $3600. This includes:

    My bouquet

    4 bridesmaids bouquets

    3 junior bridesmaid bouquets

    13 bouts (2 dads, FH, 5 groomsmen, 3 juniors, and 2 ringleaders)

    Flowers for 2 moms

    Flowers for 1 grandmother

    Roughly 10 tall centerpieces

    And about 8 short centerpieces

Our wedding will be about 160-175 guests and in downtown Chicago. It's also crazy but we got a pretty good deal on centerpieces as I was quoted about $6.5k for something similar from another florist.

We spent $275. That included a small bridal bouquet, and 3 boutiners. Our wedding is very small, 65 max guests, and I'm not doing a toss. No need for floral decoration, the venue is beautiful without it, and we arent doing a sit down dinner so no centerpieces needed. Good luck!

We budgeted $1500 but it looks like we will end up with around $900 because I cut out floral centerpieces.

We spent $450 on flowers, which included delivery to our venue. We did not have floral centerpieces or an arch to decorate, so that helped a lot with saving money. We had my bouquet, 4 BM bouquets, 2 wrist corsages (for the moms) and 7 bouts for the guys (groom, our dads and the GM). I saw in another post you mentioned you were getting married in FL - if you are by chance in the Tampa Bay area, I highly recommend Braun's Fine Florist in St. Petersburg.

Your flowers should be about 10% of your overall budget, depending on how large your bridal party is, or depending on how many centerpieces you need, or how important florals are to your decor (if you are going with looooots of flowers everywhere) then you may need to adjust that number and take from other categories.

$1,700 for my bouquet, 4 bridesmaids, 6 bouts, 3 corsages, 12 centerpieces, gazebo greenery, delivery & set up. I'm working on knocking it down though. I'd rather be closer to 1,200. We're in the White Mountains of NH.

I'm at $700 with my bouquet, 6 BM bouquets, 18 bouts, 6 corsages. We may tap out on $1k if we end up getting garland at wholesale or fake, not sure yet. I'll also point out I'm getting all this from a local grocery store. I'm in South Texas.

Hi Sheena. We used Juliet Tan Floral Design. Her office is in the West loop. We booked through our wedding planner so I believe we got a slight discount from what she offers normally, but her prices and work are amazing. These are a few examples of the flowers from our wedding.
