Florist or diy flowers?

Morgan, on November 10, 2019 at 4:17 PM Posted in Planning 0 10
I’m really struggling with the flowers for my wedding in August! Has anyone done there own floral arrangements? And how did it turn out? I’m worried they won’t be good enough but I am trying to save money for other things...
advice please!

For a friend's wedding, we went to the local farmer's market the day before a bought buckets of fresh flowers for bouquets and boutonnieres. We made a day out of with with lots of wine. Smiley laugh

It really worked out great because she was going or that "wildflower" look and didn't really care if things didn't match.

Try Whole Foods an Costco. Florists are too expensive. I'm getting my boquet flowers Calls Lillies from a local nursery and my reception flowers Eucalyptus an Purple Sage from Whole Foods.

We are renting all bouquets from Something Borrowed Blooms! We are ordering the bouts from a florist. Haven’t decided on centerpieces, leaning towards single roses in varying sized bud vases.

We used Budget Bride - fake flowers. (My dad's allergic.) They ended up great, were super affordable, and allowed us a lot of time to arrange them as we saw fit.

Look at Fifty Flowers online. They'll mail you flowers and give you instructions on arranging. That's what I'm doing to cut costs.

I am team artificial! You can find fake flowers that look so real now! With Black Friday coming up you can get a ton of flowers at a craft store for really cheap, and some places even have classes to show you how to arrange fake flowers!

The only flowers at my wedding will be my bridal bouquet. Centerpieces will be me handmade but those consist of wood slices, pinecones, and evergreen tree branches. I personally don't trust myself with flowers. I would suggest trying some different DIY bouquets with fake flowers to see what you like and dislike. Then when you do it with real flowers, you know you'll love it!
