Flower Budget

Stefany , on November 2, 2016 at 8:44 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 19

The time has come to pick a florist for my wedding and my wedding planner advised that i should allocate 5k towards it. What have some of you ladies spent for flowers? I am having 15 tables and want to do a mix of high and low centerpieces. Below is a pic of the look i am going for

A friend of a friend spent 4K. Personally we're using fake flowers and so far it's under $400 for us

We didn't pay for a planner. Our total floral budget outlay was about 4k. We had 10 tables (high centerpieces, plus rental goods), 12 bridal party members, 4 parents, 3 grandmothers, and an arch for the ceremony (decorated with strands of orchids and crystals).

Depends where you are and what flowers you're using. I will most likely have 10 tables, the bp, flowers for ceremony, mother, father and grandmother plus a small arrangement for the set up I plan on having for FHs mother since she passed when he was 15. Mine comes just under 2k. I'm doing white calla lilies and roses for my bouquet and red roses for the bp. Keeping it simple

I am spending less than 5k on my entire wedding! Had no idea people spend that on just flowers!

If you want those flowers in that picture, 5k seem about right.

@ Miami Everybody budget is different depending on the guest counts and location.

Depending on your area I might allocate a little more than that for a cushion in the budget, for what you're wanting based on that inspirational photo. It looks pretty!

I was quoted $8000 for flowers for 12 tables, bridal party bouquets, boutonnière, cake table, design petals for entrance of my aisle, hanging flowers on chuppah.... But I drove an hour out of town to find a florist who could do it for a 1/3 of my first choice. I also bought my own vases.

Fifteen centerpieces is a lot; in my area, that would be probably 2000.00 by itself.

The first quote I got was $9,000!!! I just about had a heart attack! I literally sent that same quote to another florist and she's doing the same flowers for $4,000. Shop around!

@O&L just seems crazy for flowers for one day. Don't get how people have money for that.

I got very lucky and my venue has a florist in house. For all bridal party flowers, centerpieces and ceremony flowers we are paying around $2000. But flowers are one of those things you could spend $500 or $5000. Thumbtack was great at getting quotes from vendors.

Wow! I can't imagine spending that much on flowers. We've worked really hard to keep our entire wedding around $5000.

$5,000 should be fine for a ceremony arch, cocktail hour arrangements, centerpieces and wedding party flowers.

We spent $2750 for a similar sized wedding. It really depends on what you want and your area!

Thanks so much ladies! This is certainly helpful. I have looked around and met with another florist that provided a lower quote. My FH and I are paying for the wedding ourselves so when we first heard 5k it was a bit shocking lol.

We are spending about $800-900 for 10 centerpeices, 6 bouquets, 6 grooms, 2 corsages, ceremony and greenery on the tables etc.... but.... I am DIY it all and getting the flowers wholesale through fiftyflowers. My FH and BMs already told me they would help me with the work just to make sure we save extra $$$. The centerpeices are just gold vases, bought in bulk. And ill be doing a hanging garland line across two palmtrees.

For all of the ceremony decor, 20 table centerpieces, bouquets, corsages, boutonnières, and cocktail hour decor we are spending about 7k. This is also NYC price so I'm sure it'll be less depending where you are.

I was first quoted $2000 but I brought it down to $1600....I wanted peonies and the florist said she would just have it for my bouquet, but I decided to get rid of them to bring down the cost. Also I will not be having flowers for the ceremony since it'll be at a church. I'm trying to figure out ways to decorate the pews. We have 14 center pieces, a bouquet for me, 5 bridesmaid bouquets, 2 corsages for both moms, 1 bout for FH and 5 bouts for the men. I live in Sacramento so it's not cheap, but my florist is the most affordable I could find and she does beautiful work (Sacramento brides, if you haven't found a florist I recommend Brandi from Party Petals)
