Flower centerpiece quote

JanissC., on March 29, 2017 at 4:27 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 11

So, today I got my quote for the table decorations. I wanted to know the opinion of WW, and be sure that is a fair price. The florist quoted me $145 per table. According to the description in the quote they will be low flower arrangement with ivory roses, blush spray roses, lavender roses, pink astilbe, seeded eucalyptus, fushia roses and white hydrangeas in a gold urn style glass vase (rented). With cylinders with floating candles and gold votives (all rented). What do you think? Fair? I am not sure if I want to spend that much per table. Thanks!

Seems like a good price. My centerpiece was similar and cost more than that. But it all comes down to what you're comfortable with. Fair to me might not seem fair to you.

All those roses...I'm not surprised by the quote.

This is the only pic I had handy of my low and it was $100. Mine were blue hydrangeas, 2 types of purples roses and other floral stuff (I had said here is my color scheme and asked to use seasonal vs. asking for specific flowers) in 3 julep containers with the 3 floating candles. My mom picked up votives at michaels with coupons so we didn't have to pay for them.

That sounds about right to me! These low centerpieces I had were $125 per table, but they also had hydrangeas in there which provide a lot of volume at a cheap price.

Are you re-purposing your bridesmaid bouquets? We re-used our as centerpieces, clustered with two tiny arrangements and that cut down the price on those tables significantly!

Thanks ladies! I honestly thought roses were going to be less expensive. @WWLynnie, Denise, and LB those flower arrangements are amazing!

You quote is quite reasonable. Actually, your flower choices sound beautiful (I love pink Astilble as an accent -- I'd ask her what she'd charge to add some white Veronica accents -- they work so well with these designs). With the eucalyptus as the greenery, you're going to love these pieces. Please post the finished product -- I'd love to see them.

For the flowers that are being used that's not a bad deal. We are doing flowers for our centerpieces as well. I haven't gotten the break down yet though.

@Rachel I am in love with the pink astilbe. Originally it was supposed to be pink astilbe, with the roses and peonies, but it was too over our budget with the peonies. Will ask her about the veronicas, though. Thanks!

@Jessica most of them are roses, so I am assuming they are in season for April. No idea on the pink astilbe or peonies.
