Flower colors for winter wedding

Alezandria, on February 2, 2021 at 2:44 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 13
Hey ladies! (And gents!)
I am in need of some assistance! I’m trying to figure out flower colors (specifically roses) for my January wedding next year. Our color is pine green, and for most winter weddings I see white roses, which I personally hate. My own bouquet I’m planning on sage/winter foliage with burgundy roses (my favorite) but I didn’t want my girls to have red as I’m trying to avoid Christmas colors 🥲
I’m willing to change up my flower colors to make the girls’s work, but I have no clue to what besides dull white! Can I get any opinions or inspiration? Thank you!

White was what immediately came to mind since you want to avoid red. I found this unique idea online.

Maybe like a pretty powder blue? I've also seen winter bouquets that showcase greenery more with pops of red in them. You could also go more jewel toned! If you're having burgundy in your bouquet, then it would be pretty to have a deep blue with greenery in theirs!

Are you DIYing your flowers, or do you have a florist? I found it really helpful to talk to my florist and see what flowers they recommend!

I love the powdery blue idea! I have also seen people do blush pink and ivory roses to add a little color when they don't want just white.

I don’t know how you feel about pink but I’ve seen a lot of really pretty flower arrangements with a dusty pink color or powder blue paired with the sage green!

Dusty rose or a mauve mixed with hints of your favorite colors would be so cute!

Do you have the budget to allocate for flowers that are out of season? My wedding was in late February and it was so much more expensive than I had initially thought because nothing local is alive in winter where I am. I didn't want any roses anywhere at my wedding because I think they're a bit "meh," after seeing them so much. Here's what my bouquet/florals looked like:

Greenery can give you a lot of bang for your buck, and you can pick some of your favorite flowers (even if they're more pricey) to pop off of that background. Have you looked at white anemones? They're a cool white flower that still give you a happy vibrant feeling:

What about a winter pine bouquet with light pink or blush roses? That way a hint of color (since you hate white) but not strong like a red rose. I can’t tell if these are pink or blush but you get the idea!

Go with any color you want. Mother Nature has all colors all year round.

Thank you all for your opinions!
I did forget to mention the flowers of my wedding are fake, three of my girls, one of my hubs boys, and the groom himself all have terrible pollen allergies! So I could go totally nuts in color, but was trying to keep it natural looking.
I like the mauve and pine cone suggestions! Blush is also good with the foliage. I don’t mind a little bit of white for accent, I was just stumped on mostly white flowers for winter weddings. I’m an odd ball and hate white (my dress is even going to be colored, silver or champagne) I’ll hit up stores and play with the suggestions! Thank you all!
