Flower Girl and Ring Bearer Gifts

Jess, on September 14, 2018 at 2:54 PM Posted in Planning 0 14

I'm having a hard time figuring out age appropriate gifts for my flower girl and 2 ring bearers. The flower girl will be 6 and the ring bearers will be 5 and 2 1/2. Any suggestions for gifts??

Thank You! Smiley smile

My flower girls (my twin cousins) are 7. My ring bearer (my FH's nephew) is 6.

I got my flower girl two small purses and filled them with hair ties, lip gloss, and an LOL! toy. (their favorite). I also got them matching necklaces and headband to wear the day of.

For my FH's nephew, we got him TMNT and other frog-themed toys, as well as frog gummies.

Totally talk to their parents and figure out what they like!

I agree that you should ask their parents what they like. My 3 flower girls and ring bearer were siblings and their mom is one of my best friends and was a BM so I had some idea of what to get them. The girls were 11, 9, and 7 so I bought each of them a pearl bracelet. I didn't require them to wear it with their dress but they did anyway. The ring bearer was 3 and likes sports so I found a cute plush football on Amazon that said "All Star Ring Bearer" on it. I also gave each of them an age appropriate activity book.

They dont really need gifts. For kids, being in a wedding is a gift enough!

We are asking my FH younger brothers to be our ring bearer and flower kid. (They totally love it) since both of them are getting older (13 and 10) we are going to give them something special and personal rather than typical kid stuff.

Hi Jess!! Gifting the little ones is always a great idea and I'm sure it really makes them feel included! For the boys maybe try putting together a basket with fun toys, snacks, a small book, and maybe a t-shirt! I always find that finding gifts for toddlers is super easy and very affordable! Your flower girl may like jewelry, a children's nail polish kit, or a doll! There is a recent community discussion talking about proposals but it has ideas that you may find helpful!

I got my flower girls charms from etsy that say “today you are my flower girl but some day you will grow up and be the bride. This will be your something old!” Or something like that but it’s super cute and sentimental and my favorite gift to give!

My soon-to-be step kids were in my bestfriend's wedding last weekend. She got my stepdaughter (5) a cute book about being a flower girl, a small (inexpensive) pearl bracelet, and a robe that matched hers for getting ready in. She got my stepson (6) a book like his sister's for being a ring bearer, a t-shirt that says ring "bear", and a pair of "ring security" sunglasses. It was really helpful to read the books together the night before the wedding!!

I got my mom and sister Kendra Scott necklaces, so I ordered my 7 year old niece a knockoff one that was like $10. She is to the age where she thinks it’s cute to wear a necklace because her mom wears one lol. My ring bearer I’m not sure yet but I love the pic of that football! So cute.

Thank you! And you're right about those kids. Not only are they super cute, but they are so sweet and friendly. They were so excited to be a part of the wedding.

I’m doing coloring books with crayons, candy, & shirts that say flower girl & ring security. They are 6 & 7 and was told by their mom (which is my boss) that they just want something that will keep them busy & feel special.

The teacher in me says a book! Any book that they would like - talk to parents for interests. Also a small toy - something soft they can play with at the reception if they get bored is good. I make stuffed animals and I might just make the kids a special stuffy as a thank you. Not sure about the 13 year old though - I think he thinks he's too cool for stuffies now (though he still loves the dragon I made him for Christmas when he was 5).
