Flower girl basket and ring bearer

Gettingmarriedin2016, on March 17, 2016 at 7:26 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 14

I have a few questions regarding flower girls and ring bearers.

1. Who buys the flower girl's basket and ring bearer's pillow?

2. If it's me, where can I buy cute affordable baskets and pillows?

Thanks!

Im under the impression that the bride or bride's family buys the basket(s) & pillow.

I found 3 heavy duty Easter baskets at thrift stores & spray painted them white. I'll decorate 1 side of the basket handle with silk flowers I'm using in my bouquets & boutonnieres. Also craft stores like JoAnn Fabrics, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, etc should have them out at 50% off right now, too. Good luck!

You should buy them. Lots of craft store have them. I think the last time I was there they were about $20 for the pillow and f you wait till after easter you can get a basket very cheap. Or use a metal tin bucket you can find at the dollar store.

Etsy has really cute ones, you could try there. As for who buys them I'm not sure.

The bride buys. Try a buy sell trade site on fb where you live. Someone might have one for cheap. Otherwise I love Etsy!

Who pays for the venue, the guest book, the reception dinner? You do! Therefore, you buy the fg baskets & rb pillow too. If it's for your wedding, you foot the entire bill! It's like people in 2016 don't understand that you aren't crowd-funding your wedding on your bridal party's dime.

    The bride/groom buys them.

We had 2 flowergirls and no ring bearer. We bought the flowergirl baskets at Hobby Lobby. Then we painted them white and tied bows on them.

You should buy those. There are a million to choose from on Etsy! I bought these from Etsy (I had 2 flower girls, no ring bearer)

ETA: they had a really blingy applique on them, I wish I had a better pic, they were really pretty!

ETA again: Found a bit of a better pic Smiley smile

@rachel I don't appreciate your attitude. It was just a simple question. Just like bridesmaids buy their dresses and the bride pays for their makeup and hair, I thought that perhaps the parents' flower girl and ring bearer would pay for the basket and pillow since I'm paying for their attire. I never said that I was ever against paying for the basket and pillow, just wanted to confirm.

I found really cute, cheap ones on eBay! Pay careful attention to the measurements though as some pillows are really quite small.

I agree. That response was very unnecessary. I myself wasn't aware that the bride and groom was supposed to pay for those items
