Flower girl bubbles?

Elisha, on March 20, 2018 at 4:49 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 12

I am having an outdoor ceremony in the woods. I don't want to worry about picking up flower petals or leaving a real ones down because we are transforming the same space into the reception, has anyone had their flower girl blow bubbles? Or had a bubble machine going when everyone was walking down? I would love to see pictures if so! Does that seem tacky?

I never thought of that. But I think it's a great idea! At my venue we have to either have real flower petals or we can't have flowers. So this might be a good idea for us too!

I would just have her pass out real flowers to guests sitting in the aisle seats.

I had the same idea! My church says if we drop fake flower petals then we are responsible for picking them all up. This is not really an option, for a few reasons. Anyway, I had the same idea for her to blow bubbles down the aisle! I don't thinks it's tacky (obviously) I think it's sweet.

I think that's cute but you do run the risk of her spilling the bottle on herself if she's very young. Hard pass on a bubble machine. How about her tossing some leaves, or she can just carry a petite bouquet. That's what my flower girl opted for as she wanted to be like a bride.

We're doing bubbles! No one in my party is carrying flowers, because of the season but we really wanted to have my cousin and my FW's nephew in the wedding, so we're giving them each a ring and a bubble blower and having them be our "bubble children".

When I was 7years old my Aunt and Uncle got married, I was a flower girl for them and my sister and I blew bubbles while handing out cute church shaped bubble containers to the guests for what I now know was the send-off. All of the guests seemed to love it and as the flower girl I thought it was the best idea ever.

    Go for it!

Just be aware that bubble mixture can and does mark or stain fabric. You may not want marks on your dress and your guests probably won’t wasn’t marks on their clothes either.

I think her blowing bubbles is a super cute idea! The bubble machine sounds cute too but I would worry about the soap mixture. If you go with the bubble machine I would do a test run to make sure nothing is too slippery and also make sure the bubbles you use work (I use a bubble machine for an event every year the only bubbles I have found that actually work is gazillion bubbles)

We've been to a wedding where the guests were given bubbles to blow. It may be tricky for the flower girls to blow bubbles and walk - blowing bubbles can be a hit or a miss. I love the idea of a bubble machine for a ceremony exit.

had this same thought! I saw on pinterest someone decorated a bubble gun to match the bridesmaids bouquets. I'm going to check with my venue and see if that's an option for me. I like the bubble gun better than my flower girl blowing bubbles because she's still too young to use a regular bubble wand without getting bubbles all over her and the floor.
