Flower Girl "Emergency Kit" - Ideas please!

Mrs. G, on June 6, 2014 at 11:53 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 23

Hi everyone,

So we will be having 4 flower girls around age 7. I plan to get them all a strand of imitation pearls to wear but also wanted to do something cute and fun which is what made me think of a Flower Girl Emergency Kit. I've come up with a couple ideas like a Ring Pop, Glitter Nail Polish, Tic Tacs, Mini Nail File....

Can you guys help me think of any other cute ideas? I'd like to keep it affordable since money is just flying out the window! But I want to have as much bang for my buck as possible and make it cute and girly! Thanks ladies!!

I'd skip the nail polish -- even I can make a mess with that! What about a small doll dressed as a bride or flower girl?

Candy! Coloring book, maybe a barbie doll or similar style doll that she loves, stickers...basically stuff to keep her occupied, as this will probably be a very boring day for her

Just remember if you get her any kind of candy that you run the risk of her getting it all over her dress.

A sheet of stickers. Nearly every emergency I've encountered could be fixed with some stickers.

Yeah that's my battle, stuff they'll like, but won't ruin their little ensemble! I figured clear glitter nail polish wouldn't be too bad because no one will be looking that close at their fingers lol! I thought about a coloring book but could crayons make a mess? Love the sticker idea! All the flower girls are actually really really really excited! It's super cute! One is practicing ballroom dancing with her dad :-) What about sparkly band-aids? I thought that could be cute but then as a kid, they'll use any excuse to wear them haha....not sure how cute that'll look with their little dresses!

How about roll-on perfume sticks? They won't be able to spray it in their eyes, and they'll love that they smell pretty.

Also, maybe an imitation pearl bracelet, to match their necklaces?

Well the necklaces are imitation but they're really good quality from Macy's. My thought was to get them the necklace as something they could keep forever and wear into adulthood, and then the emergency kit was something they'd like more as a kid right now! I think the bracelet might be a little too $$$! Good idea though! Keep them coming!

Maybe a little cheap disposable camera for them to take pictures with? The pics probably won't turn out that great, but they'll have fun playing with them. Bubbles are fun too, if you don't mind them flying around, and they're harmless. Maybe a sparkly hair clip?

A compact mirror. My nieces LOVED those when they were little. Especially the one with magnification.

A brush! I would give them possible cameras to. Smiley smile I'm getting all the kids at my wedding disposable cameras, just so I can see the wedding from their perspective.

Honestly little pillows. By the end of the night they are beat. Maybe get ones that you can put their emergency kit stuff in.

Lovin the lip smackers, disposable camera and mini compact. A piece of candy, lip gloss, slippers, glittery band aid, crayon and book, hairbrush/comb, scented hand lotion

Colored kleenex/tissue could be good too. I suggest gummy bears or fruit snacks that arent very messy Smiley smile

I LOVE this idea - seriously you guys are awesome!

What about doing it for a ring bearer? my flower girl & ring bearer are brother & sister, around 8 & 10, and will be sitting at the same table next to each other so I would want to do the same for him! anyone have any suggestions for a boy his age?
