So, I'm looking for some alternative ideas for things for flower girls to carry....I've seen a few lists with some cute stuff...and I really liked the idea of them blowing bubbles as they walked. My wedding is indoor but...almost with a garden theme. Behind us at the front will be a huge greenery wall (8x12 foot, starting at 3 ft high) with a beautiful chandelier hanging above us. So, my decorations are primarily greenery and candles, with some touches of white roses here and there.
Anyhow. I love the idea of them blowing bubbles...but I'm worried that there might be coordination issues, they'll have trouble blowing bubbles while walking...they walk into the candles lining the path. So, I'm kind of nixing that idea.
I'm thinking about taking some plastic round ornaments and basically stringing some faerie lights through them...probably not strung together in a perfect ball, but definitely not in a line either, and hanging it from a golden ribbon for them to carry, so it's lit up and kind of looks like a ball of glittery bubbles. I was also toying with the idea of getting miniature lanterns and making those cloud lights for them to carry, but I feel like the idea might be lost on what it is supposed to be.
Any thoughts?
