Flower Girl Not Walking Yet

Brittani, on September 10, 2023 at 3:23 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 6
Most of our wedding party is family, including the flower girl (his niece) and nephew (his nephew, flower girl’s big brother).

Since the flower girl will be about 10 months on the wedding day, I doubt she’ll be walking. No biggie; the ring bearer (who will be 3yrs) can just pull her in a decorated wagon.
I asked their mom (sister of the groom and a bridesmaid), but she said she’s not sure he’ll be able to pull her. I mean, he’s just a toddler.
She suggested having the parents of the groom walk with both the kiddos, and I’m not opposed to that, but I’m curious what other options there are.

Maybe the mom could walk both kids down the aisle. I definitely wouldn't trust a 3 year old to drag a wagon with a 10 month old down the aisle.

I considered something like that; maybe with their mom walking with the flower girl, and the ring bearer could walk with his dad (who is also a groomsman).

That sounds like a good idea. I've seen where a bridesmaid carried the flower girl (who was her daughter) down the aisle. I do agree that a 3 year old might not be able to pull his sister in a wagon down the aisle. Our ring bearer was three and he needed his older brother to help him down the aisle because he kept getting distracted during the rehearsal.

My son was a ring bearer at my brother's wedding when he was 3 and he totally balked when it came to actually walk down the aisle. He was scared with all those people looking at him. I ended up holding his hand and walking him down the aisle. No big deal.

I would suggest their mom walking them both down the aisle. They will be most comfortable with her.

We are using a remote controlled battery kiddie car and the older boy 3 years old will be driving it with a wagon attached with the flower girl. Of course his dad will be really driving by remote control
