Flower Girl Throwing Petals Alternatives?

I'm having my wedding at a local garden and sculpture park in Michigan and they don't allow you to throw petals (were doing an outdoor ceremony). So the flower girls will be carrying small bouquets.

I would LOVE our flower girl to throw glitter, but that is an absolute NO at any venue! (Of course) Glitter is the most BEAUTIFUL mess in my opinion!! Lol so....rose pedals it is!

Our venue doesn't allow things to be thrown unless we pick up 100% of them. So I'm thinking of having them walk down the aisle with a basket of flowers that they will hand to guests at the edge of the aisle instead.

We aren’t allowed to have them drop anything due the type of venue we have. Our alternative will be big oversized glittery balloons. There are lots of ideas on Pinterest!!

My two daughters are our flower girls (age 5 & 2). One will be carrying a little basket of petals, and the other will be carrying a wooden sign that says "you could be fishing instead." lol

My flower girls will be carrying floral hoops similar to this picture!

Mine carried a basket with a mini bouquet inside. Kind of like a flower ball. We weren't allowed to sprinkle anything inside the mansion (or outside in the garden) because it's a historical monument of sorts.

I've also seen flower girls carry ribbon wands, balloons, signs, garland...seen them wearing fairy wings...carrying dreamcatchers...the options are pretty much open!

Mine will be carrying a baby breath heart wreath.

Alteratives I thought about were bubbles, balloons, mini bouquet, and a sign.

We weren't allowed to have anything thrown at the church so we had the flower girls carry lanterns and the ring bearer carried a sign.

Flower Girl Petals

Instead of fresh flower petals, we're opting for fake flower ones instead. I picked up 2 packs at the Dollar Tree and let my FG pick which color she wants to use. Our venue only allow real petals outside, but as we're inside, they asked us to use fake ones so they don't get smashed into the floor when people walk on them.

View Quoted Comment My venue is more against this than real ones and would charge a $250 fee for doing this. It's weird but it true. That and confetti because of wind and clean up problems. They don't like anything non biodegradable. It's an outdoor chapel.

No, I did not feel like cleaning up the mess lol. I opted out of having a FG.
