Flower Petal Toss---how much?

Katie, on January 16, 2018 at 2:14 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 12

Hello! Has anyone ever used flower petals as an exit toss? If so, how many pounds do you need, say, for 130 people?

Thanks!

I'm surprised a venue would allow this.

Do you want the petal toss for pictures? or you actually want to spend on extra flowers to be thrown at you? If you want it for pictures id say have it staged where you have about 10-20 people throw flowers at you. Then you will need less. All 130 people may not be there when you exit unless your doing an early exit.

Staged? That sounds tacky. Do it or don’t do it. Don’t stage anything.

It isn’t tacky. The photographer stages for the photos. It’s done with the majority of all internet “exits” you see. Regardless if it’s sparklers or any thing else used and photographers always suggest it especially if there are time constraints. The point of the exit is to have it memorialized, picture or video. And it has to be staged by the photographer to capture it correctly. Be it 20 people or actually at 11pm when you leave with 100 people. Staged...organized...same thing. Talk to a professional OP

No clue about quantities, but it's my impression that when people do a toss after the ceremony, it's usually only the people sitting right on the aisle, and those in the 2nd, maybe 3rd seats in who get something to toss. It would be silly for those sitting on the far outside of the rows to toss anything, it won't land anywhere near the aisle or likely even make it into the photos. So you wouldn't need for 130 people.

Like for the final exit when you leave the venue or the recessional? Because I agree that only aisle people would need it if it was just walking back up aisle. But as someone else suggested, petalgarden has a calculator that I used for purchasing my petals.

Only those seated in the aisle.makes perfect sense! The guest on the ends would only throw them at the back of someone's head lol 😆😆
