Flower Walls...Yay or Nay?

FutureMrsC, on May 16, 2014 at 10:24 AM

So I saw this gorgeous flower wall that Kim Kardashian got for mother's day and, I want one! I'm thinking it could be an easy DIY with floral foam, and a structure to adhere it to. Has anyone tried to make one, or planning on having one? If so, how much did it cost?

For any of you who have ever made a tissue paper skirt for the bottom of a parade float (exactly the same concept of this wall, but with tissue paper or napkins) it literally is a nightmare. It takes days with a huge group of people. I've done it before, a couple times. Awesome effect but no thank you.

I love the idea of flower walls, but there are a number of problems first obvious mentioned many times above is PRICE - $5,000???? for something you will use once...??? WOW

Second is what do you do with it? Throw out your 5,000????

Option that I used - paper flower wall.

    Its gorgeous!

Its cheap I made mine - it took me a year to make that very first one and now I make and sell them on ebay and my site! They are so popular! Trust me I never would dream of charging someone 5k!

You can keep it and put it up at your house or you can rent one from me and return it for half the price! I have mine at my house and its beautiful people comment on it all the time and ask where I bought it.

Another large benefit is that it can be made any size, and if you don't want this bulky frame, or if your venue will not allow it to be placed, you can just order flower and place them on anything from dry wall to fabric.

Here are photos if interested let me know or go to my site www.rituskainc.com

I felt like this for a long time too. It could be a background for pictures, or for behind the head table. For example, our venue is a park full of roses. We'll be indoors for the reception. It would go with the theme, and make it so we're not staring at "eggshell beige matte" or whatever colored paint for hours. Gives it some oomph.
