Has anyone used them? Can anyone recommend a vendor? has anyone made one themselves? Photos are welcomed.

    This is from "not Rachel".

I've thought of doing a flower wall of silks, but then I always come to same conclusion -- it's a huge expense. What if our client is doing yellow and blue instead of shades of pink and white? Maybe one day we'll get to the point where we have eight or nine silk wall pieces for brides to chose from, and when that happens, we'll rent them out. For now? It makes no sense to spend the money on something that nobody has yet asked for. However, if you ladies want a flower wall, start putting it together with silks a year before your wedding. Go to Hobby Lobby every other week (at their 50% off silks sale) and pick up a few stems that match your color scheme. If you want to save more, watch for the cut rate after season clearance sales at AC Moore, Michaels, and Hobby Lobby (you can get the right colors at clearance sales for 75 - 90% off of their original retail prices if you are diligent). After the wedding, sell it. I guarantee there is another bride with your color scheme out there who loves the idea of a flower wall.

Signed, Kim -- the one you guys all know from the Centerpiece. When I'm writing paragraphs on WW, Rachel is building the business and handling sales. My job is floral design. I'm there two days before the wedding and the day of the wedding. Rachel's pretty busy with the day to day stuff, but every once in a while, she weighs in here -- like today.

@Tierra - If you like the one @Katy posted, let me know. The person that made it is one of my really good friends. I just saw you are in Baltimore. Probably within a distance that she would actually rent it out (she has an Etsy shop actually and drops it off to set up/break it down). If you are interested, connect with me on here, and I'd be happy to get you in touch with her!

I've been debating about a coffee filter flower backdrop for a while. I'd be DIYing it (as with everything I can). I bet it would be cheaper, but definitely take A LOT more time - which would be no problem for me.

All I can think about is Kim & Kanye.

But they are super gorgeous, that's for sure! (flower walls, not K&K)

I bought these paper ones from Michaels on Clearance. They are much larger but I am going to do something similar and more sporadic behind the head table. I am using insulation board, its cheap, light and sturdy.

I'm making giant paper flowers and possibly putting them into a wall - if not, they will be used to decorate our gazebo, the mantles of the fireplaces, and possibly the chandeliers as well. I love the look of them though!

I made my flower wall with a backdrop system and pinned the flowers on to the cloth. The flowers made were huge. About 20 inches each for visual impact and to cover more space.

I think she's actually redoing this one into an ombré color pattern.

JadedRaven or Ashley C, can you send me the link to your friend etsy shop? I would be interested in renting it from her.

Mia - I love your flower wall backdrop. Where did you get that silver sequence fabric backdrop?
