Flowers cost how much?!?!

Erica, on June 10, 2017 at 11:14 PM Posted in Style and Décor 1 27

All we're looking for are Bridal party flowers (bride and groom, bridesmaids and groomsmen, parents and grandparents, flower girl petals). In season, super simple. And three different people I've gotten quotes from are at least $800.

Is this the typical price range?

    We paid thousands, but had the ceremony room to decorate, 26 guest tables, 8 parents/grandparents, and a 16 person bridal party.

    I've been involved in 3 bridal parties, plus my own and just the bride's bouquet was in the 2-300 range.

    How big is your bridal party? $800 is very reasonable!

    Our flowers are $600 for 1 bridal bouqet, 4 bridesmaid bouquets, 7 bouts (groom, 4 groomsmen and 2 fathers), and 7 simple centerpieces. ETA: $95 of our cost is delivery and setup.

    If you have any talents with floral arrangements, you can buy flowers wholesale from plenty of different websites or even florists. But $800 is pretty cheap.

    The OP is talking about ONLY wedding party flowers. Not centerpieces or other decor. It really depends on number of bridesmaids as well.

    $160. Bouquet for me, boutonnière for FH, and a lady-bout (I don't know what else to call it...?) for our officiant. No bridal party, no ceremony/reception flowers. I just couldn't justify the cost.

    Ours were $250 for two bridal bouquets, one MOH bouquet, and one bout. But flowers are one of the most adjustable parts of your expenses. To cut the cost:

    * Use flowers in season.

    * Have hand-tied bouquets instead of wired ones.

    * Cut back on the number of flowers (e.g., have the BMs carry clutches instead of flowers).

    I about had a mini heart attack when I saw my quote - I was completely naive about the cost of wedding flowers. $1000 for a wedding party of 8, include bride and groom + 2 moms, and 2 dads.

    I'm paying almost $1500 for all my flowers. Honestly it depends on the area and the flowers used. In season flowers tend to cost less, but you may not get the color or flower you want. $800 sounds reasonable to me.

    I got my flowers from fiftyflowers.com and I spent about $700. But I got all the flowers I could ever dream of and a florist would've charged like $3,000 for what I got. I highly recommend that site!

    Yeah flowers are expensive- my husband and I had a small wedding (35 guests) and we spent $2,000 on flowers (and that's a great price in NYC). We needed ceremony arrangements, wedding party flowers, flowers for the cake and dinner centerpieces.
