Flowers for mom - pinned corsage, wrist corsage, or nosegay?

Mrs. G, on May 16, 2014 at 1:35 PM Posted in Style and Décor 1 7

Hey guys....so I don't know what to do for my mom for flowers. I feel like a wrist corsage might get in the way, a pinned corsage looks a little dated maybe, and a handheld nosegay seems a little whimpy. What do you guys think is the best option?

Just ask her. Nothing we say will matter. Chances are she knows what she wants.

I asked both the MOB and the MOG which they preferred.

I asked. They wanted wrist corsages because they didn't want to pin anything to the fabric of their special/fancy dresses.

For my sister's wedding, the grandmas god nosegays with little antique holders to use on the talbes (my mom found them at an estate sale for a bargain). The grandmas loved them!

Ok cool...do you guys think they should both have the same (like ask my mom and get FMIL the same) or ask each and do different?

Ask her. I personally LOVE pin-ons because they are so classic. I love looking at old photos of my grandma because she always had on beautiful pin-on corsages.

FMIL wanted a wrist corsage, so that's what she got. It is on a pearl bracelet. Photo #1 and #2.

My mother wanted pin-on. Photo #3.

The actually corsages are a surprise, but I wanted them to have the choice of what kind to get. Also, I had them suggest what color flowers they wanted. Go figure, they both wanted purple so I came up with coordinating corsages. =)

I did wrist corsages on a pretty pearl bracelet that the can keep after the wedding. The moms will have the same flowers.
