Flowers!

Rebecca, on July 16, 2019 at 9:20 AM Posted in Planning 0 9
Hello ladies! So I’m getting married in September and we have a pretty big wedding party and I just went for a flower consultation and just want to know what the normal amount for flowers usually runs for a wedding! I’m so lost in planning and just want to make sure I didn’t get ripped off.

This really depends on a lot of factors- location, flowers used and if they’re in season, and size of the bouquets. We got 4 different quotes. Bridal bouquets were between $100-$200 and bridesmaids bouquets were between $50-$100.

Ok so that seems right where mine is! She’s changing 150 for mine and then 50 for my bridesmaids and we’re using roses for all of them!

So I was quoted $3,000 and up for a cascading bridal bouquet, 2 BM bouquets, 4 bouts and 4 corsages. With lilies, roses and greenery/babies breath. I ended up going to real touch fake flower route and got all that listed above for $400 and they look beautiful and last forever.

OMG who quoted you $3,000 for that & where?! I’m in NYC & even here you can get that for much less, like $300 for cascading bridal, $150 for BM. Bouts & corsages wouldn’t be more than $50/each, so $1,000 max total.
Good choice for going real touch route!

O my goodness I think I would hit the floor if I was quoted that! I would love to do real touch but I just don’t have the time do actually do that all myself! We have 8 bridesmaids and 9 groomsmen! Plus I have 2 little ones lol but we were quoted 800 for all of ours so I’m starting to think that’s not bad at all.

I'm in Upstate NY. It was some local flower shop. One place I looked at had a $2,000 minimum and then this place told me about $200 for cascading and $50-$80 for BM bouquets depending on the size and the prices go up from there depending on the flowers. Apparently (according to her) I chose the most popular and most expensive wedding flowers, so the prices were much higher.

I mean NY is expensive, but that’s just absurd. I would have told them they are out of their mind 😆 Cala lilies & baby’s breath are among cheaper flowers btw. Roses can vary depending on type, but you can buy regular, smaller roses in bulk for $1-$2/piece.

Here in MD our flowers are $600 for: my bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 9 boutonnieres, 3 corsages, and cake flowers.
