Fog machine or no fog machine during the first dance?

Breanna, on October 27, 2017 at 1:10 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 66

So I'm having mixed feelings about having a fog machine running during our first dance. I've seen it where it looks great and creates such a romantic and dramatic look. Then i've also seen where it doesn't look so great. Also I'm curious if it will mess up my dress or make the dance floor wet or sticky. Suggestions please?

Save your money and put it toward something else. It isn't worth the cost for a 2-3 minute dance.

I'd skip it. It's kind of unnecessary, and could bother some guests.

I didn't think this was a thing? If you really want it it shouldn't make the floor sticky or hurt your dress or anything but I'd still skip it.

I would skip it. Seems a little strange to me and also may mess with the pictures.

I'm doing it. I'm pretty sure it's basically dry ice and water in the machine. It feels like fog, which feels like nothing and then just dissipates into the air. If it's a professional person doing your wedding I'm pretty sure that they would not offer something that would ruin your dress or mess up the Dance Floor. If you just ask them I'm sure they will have an answer for that

I would skip it. And you definitely risk the chance of the dance floor becoming wet and or sticky.

A fog machine won't make your floor sticky unless you put koolaid in it...

That being said, unless your first dance is Thriller, hard pass.

Skip it. I think it would kind of mess up the pictures too.

Dry ice, to me, = spooky and someone is about to get stabbed. Not romantic. I'm not sure I would know what to think as a guest if I saw this IRL.

    I'd skip it.

I feel like I learn something else that I didn't even know was a thing on these forums every day. That seems a bit too dramatic for me.

Wow. I wanted the same thing. Thank God I bought one yesterday and tried it out. Omg. It was a fail. I wanted it for our first dance inside the hall. I tried it at home and fog was everywhere. Like I thought it would be only floor area. It was foggy but ceilings and was hard to get out the house. My 15 year old and 4 year old had a blast. It cleared up in 39 minutes after running it for only 30 seconds lol
