Fog machine or no fog machine during the first dance?

So I'm having mixed feelings about having a fog machine running during our first dance. I've seen it where it looks great and creates such a romantic and dramatic look. Then i've also seen where it doesn't look so great. Also I'm curious if it will mess up my dress or make the dance floor wet or...

As someone with breathing issues I would recommend skipping it also.

Just to answer the technical questions no it will not make your floor sticky or wet. And in order to keep the fog low lying you will need a chiller to go with it otherwise it will be everywhere and nobody will even be able to see y'all dancing. And yes it is highly irritating to anybody with asthma!

@Heather You are so right I have asthma and it bothers me to the point I have to leave for fresh air, but for my mom with COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) it is even worse with the fog machines she ends up in the ER.

Are you sure your venue allows it? I know mine doesn't. Before you consider spending the $ make sure it's even allowed

No! the last thing you want is someone having an asthma attack mid dance! its definitely not worth it.

Don't do it. Some people have allergies to that. Wouldn't want to make your guests uncomfortable..

I think it's kinda cheesy. We use them at our house for Halloween and have hardwood floors, they do get a little moist.

I never knew fog machines can affect people with respiratory issues. I have asthma so good to know! I also never even considered having it for my wedding so it's a non-issue for me.

I guess if you're on the fence about it, just pass.
