So I'm having mixed feelings about having a fog machine running during our first dance. I've seen it where it looks great and creates such a romantic and dramatic look. Then i've also seen where it doesn't look so great. Also I'm curious if it will mess up my dress or make the dance floor wet or...

Ask your photographer if it will negatively impact your photos. If they won't be able to get clear shots then I'd skip it.

Our dj includes this with other stuff. Still debating if I want to do it or not. I have seen videos of it on his website and it really does make pretty pictures.

I would skip it. Not only is it an unnecessary expense, but I've been around a lot of fog given off from a fog machine before and it's triggered my asthma. It may mess with any guests that have any sort of breathing issues.

I say nope. It will make the floor slippery. The last you wanna do is fall during your first day

I am struggling with the same issue because my venue only allows the smoke/ fog machine. To my understanding, the dry ice gives a much better effect then the fog machine, so i am really debating, though I really want it.
It looks awesome in all the wedding pictures I saw that bad it. Now sure I want to change it on my special day, nor do I want to get others sick.

I would skip DIY-ing a fog machine. Too risky and the fog might not go/stay in the right area. But if a professional is doing it, go for it. Lots of DJs have this as an add-on so you can ask. Your venue or coordinator may have recommendations as well. I live in Los Angeles and it's about $150-200 per song here.
