Following up on gifts

Anshea M., on December 7, 2017 at 9:30 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 2

If someone told you they were mailing you a card/gift because they forgot to bring it to the wedding, is it rude to follow up if it's not received?

Someone reached out for our address about a week after the wedding to say they were mailing our card. So it's been almost two months and we haven't gotten it.

I'm not pressed about it, but if they mailed it and it got lost or something, I'd like them to know. And I also don't want them to think we are rude for not having sent a thank you.

Normally if it's been a while and they haven't heard a thank you from you, they'll call/write and ask if you got it.

    Be patient.
