Following up with Bridal shower rvsp’s

Stephanie, on June 25, 2021 at 9:15 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 19
Over half of my bridal shower guest list hasn’t responded either way. They have like a week left to rvsp, but if they don’t what is the best way to follow up with these guests? I don’t want to come off as annoying or rude. What do you normally say? Your answers will also help going into wedding rvsp follow ups as well! Thanks in advance!!!

Whoever is hosting your bridal shower should be the one contacting people who didn't RSVP. Otherwise, I have always counted a none response as a "no".

I’m having this same issue but my rsvp date is tomorrow. My moms holding the bridal shower for me but I have been texting the people who haven’t rsvped yet all day; I simple said “hey, hope your having a good day!! I saw you haven’t responded about the bridal shower and I was wondering if you would be coming or not since the rsvp dead line is approaching. Please let me know ASAP thanks ☺️ ) We’re paying for plate so we need to know yes or no. But for the wedding I’m not doing this, if they choose not to respond there being marked as a no and if they decide to show up I hope they brought a chair and stopped at a drive thru.

I’m sorry you having that issue!! I just don’t understand how hard it is to just say yes or no but that is helpful thank you! I wanted to put that on our wedding invitations but my FH said it would be rude 🤦🏻‍♀️

If you gave a date to rsvp and that they haven't your MOH and you can give a call or a text just a reminder. I dont think that its rude we know that life happens but it only takes a text or call if you didn't mail it in just to let the hostess know. I hope that all goes fabulous for you

I know right!! And my mom even put “preferred texts” so it’s not even like they had to call it’s ridiculous!! My fiancé thought it was a good idea to put it on there but I didn’t, it’s just common sense if you don’t rsvp by the date then don’t show up

Yes this is true it will for one be rude of them to just show up and then you and your mom have to make accommodate them for showing up without notice. And those who need will be getting the side eye because a text would be nice

Me and my MOH just started discussing the dates so when we get the invitation it's not too close to the wedding day so people should be able to respond and it wont be alot of people attending to lower disappointing

That makes sense. We invited 50 people and it’s 2 months before the wedding so we’re getting wedding rsvps and shower rsvps all at once. But only 23 people had said yes or no for the shower so I’ve got that number up to 40. I’m still waiting to hear from 10 more people it’s insane.

I didn't know that we can get RSVP shower invitations and wedding invitations together. I was just going to get some less inexpensive ones from party city or something where else. And I already waiting for our wedding invitations samples to see how they look then sent those out March and April gives them plenty of time to respond

Ask whoever is hosting your bridal shower to follow up with them

Omgoodness so sorry I bought them separately but they ended up going out around the same time because I’m impatient and sent the invites out early. I would HIGHLY recommend Ann’s bridal bargains for your invites, shower invites, accommodation cards (if needed) I bought everything there before my wedding was postponed and they were very inexpensive.

It is so annoying, my whole side rsvpd to the wedding whereas 90% of his side still has yet to rsvp and we have like 47 days to the wedding. He has been bugging his side for weeks now. I asked him if he was afraid of being annoying and rude his response was no they are the rude ones for not rsvping, it's not hard to do, I will annoy them till I get a yes or no. I mean he does have a point

Only one person from my mom’s side of the family answered me about my bridal shower, I just don’t get how hard it is to txt me yes or no. Because I put my number on them. But idk I guess next week I’m going to start messaging people because I would rather know a yes or no in stead of them all showing up with no food for them.

Yes there super great quality but at a cheaper price. I’ve got my shower invitations off of Etsy since it is a themed shower.
