Fondant looks beautiful but I'm not a fan of the taste so buttercream all the way. Actually, I'd prefer cream cheese frosting over any other.

Definitely buttercream! Fondant tastes like play doh textured plastic.

Fondant! It could be up to 100 degrees on my wedding day. My cake artist is afraid it could melt. Just fyi fondant is never meant to be eaten, it's for decoration only. Experienced caterers will remove it before serving.

Buttercream! At first, I wanted a fondant cake because I fell in love with a particular design, but fondant is more expensive and doesn't have a pleasant taste so we went with buttercream.

We are having buttercream on two of the cupcakes, whipped cream frosting on another. Our grooms cake has some fondant on it but it's really just for show lol

Buttercream! It was our only option, but we would have chosen it regardless

We are doing fondant for our wedding cake, but the sheet cakes will have buttercream! Smiley smile Best of both worlds!
