I love fondant but overall we will probably go with buttercream. We have yet to find our cake!

If we were doing cake - we'd pick buttercream!
But my fiancé doesn't really like cake so we're doing pie! And possibly some other little desserts like cannolis or something.

I like the look of fondant. My MOH and I decorate cakes with marshmallow fondant, which is super sweet but doesn’t taste disgusting like regular fondant so that’s most likely what we’ll use.

Buttercream. We have not picked our cake yet but I hate the taste of fondant. It looks pretty but tastes awful. I guess if you were doing an outdoor reception you would have to use fondant because I believe it lasts longer with hotter temps. but my wedding is in oct and is indoors so buttercream all the way. Tastes great and looks great.

Buttercream all the way! Although fondant would be much better for a summer wedding and they can come in absolutely amazing designs, it always tastes kind of boring and buttercream has a much better, fuller taste!
