100% buttercream. No one eats fondant so why pay for it? It's a waste of money.

We are having fondont bc underneith the fondont they put buttercream anyway to help the fondont stick to the cake plus the csme is layered with buttercream so people can peal off the fondont and still have buttercream with there cake.. thr fondont locks in the flavor and moistness of the cake and keeps other flavors and smells out like if its in a fridge eith other foods say like fish the fondont keeps the fish smell from getting to the cake itself and making the cake taste bad ..plus fondont is a cleaner look and csn do alot more details to it

Fondant is gorgeous, but doesn't taste very good. We're all about flavor, so we're going with buttercream.

Buttercream. I’m not a fondant fan and it was more expensive so it was a double win for taste and budget!

Buttercream! Fondant is beautiful, but it costs more and I hate the taste.

As a former pastry student and cake maker, fondant is gorgeous but usually awful tasting. Buttercream 100%.
