Fondant is beautiful decor but buttercream tastes a million times better. They can also do some amazing things with butter cream. I wouldn’t want a cake 100% fondant

Team Buttercream here! When I eat cake I need to eat it all. Fondant just won't do for me although it looks very pretty.

Buttercream, everytime! Fondant may look great, but I have never heard of anyone who liked the taste! I want a wedding cake that the guest actually want to eat!

Initially, it was going to be fondant, but it's just too sweet, and doesn't have the greatest taste. So, buttercream for the win!

Fondant cakes are really beautiful but navigating around the fondant to eat the cake is a hassle. I dont care for eating fondant. Buttercream wins for me.

Buttercream, I hear fondant tastes terrible. If we're dropping dough on a cake, taste is equally as important as aesthetic. Luckily our baker actually uses modeling chocolate on top of the buttercream, which sounds AH-MAZING!

Buttercream!!! Although, we're actually doing a semi-naked cake for our wedding, but let's be real... nobody LIKES to eat fondant. And I don't know about everyone else, but I'd prefer to not have non-edible items mixed with my edible ones.
