Food for social distance showers

Goingthomas2020, on October 4, 2020 at 8:35 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 7
Hi all! I'm throwing a shower for my friend and am wondering what food to provide. I'm thinking grabbing from shared casserole dishes isn't the best idea. Maybe Publix will individually wrap sandwiches? Any other ideas?

My shower and a recent shower of a friend had food made and individually packaged to be as Covid friendly as possible. I thought it worked out great.

My cousin had a grad party a couple of months ago. She had fruit cups and veggie cups that had already been packaged, sandwiches, chips, and cupcakes. All able to be grabbed without worrying about others touching your stuff.

For my nephews grad party, we had some individually wrapped/ prepackaged foods (chips, veggies in cups with a little ranch at the bottom and saran wrap covering them) but they also had some hot food which my two SILs served. Everyone was required to use hand sanitizer before they took any food. And my other nephew "bartended" aka we had a few coolers with beer & soda and people "ordered" from a "menu" taped to a table and he handed them what they wanted.

I know Panera is currently doing individual "lunchboxes" that each come with a sandwich, bag of chips, and cookie. Maybe you can use that as a template to create your own individually packaged meals for guests? They had several varieties of sandwiches, each with a label describing what they are, and guests can choose which one they want.
