Hello all! My wedding is in just a few days and we have people complaining about my wedding being plated!!!! They said it’s rude that I’m only giving them one plate of food!! What!! I have never been so furious. They want to receive two plates of food..... (my fiancé’s family) they’re bigger people and they’re calling my family “white washed” for only allowing them one plate of food. I am in disbelief that people would say such a thing especially if they aren’t paying for the wedding.

Please let let me know if I am wrong... should I order more food? I have enough where everyone gets one plate of food.... and if I order more how many more plates should I get... it’s 20$ a person which isn’t bad but I’m already at 200 people paid for so I’d have to pay to add more plates...

I don’t think you should order anymore food. This is a time of celebration for you and your spouse, and if they can’t be happy for you without wanted something in return then I don’t think they are worth it. Why spend more money to feed greedy people? The wedding is only for a few hours, if they mean you any good they would appreciate what you are offering and be understanding. Save your money for your future with your family.

I would not order more food. 1 plate a food is more than enough. I would ask them if they want to pay for extra food since they are complaining. People are so rude!

I can't believe that some of your guests have the audacity to complain about this... one of the most terrible things I've read on this forum. I am so sorry you're having to deal with... you should not buy anymore food. No way. If some of your guests feel this way and are being so low, they can just not show up for your wedding. Can't believe this. Really can't It's terribly rude of them. Once again, so sorry.

You don't need to order more food. It doesn't matter how "big" they are, I've never ever ever ever been to a wedding that *wasn't* a buffet and people got more than one plate of food. Like, what? LOL. Do they order multiple entree plates when they go out to a fancy dinner? probably not! Some people like to think that a wedding is an all you can eat buffet just because they aren't paying for it.

I'm personally doing a buffet but only because it was the cheaper option and I have over 200 people. I WISH I got to do a plated dinner. People need to grow up and stop complaining.

I wont lie I've been to weddings where I didn't feel like the food was filling, but I have never complained nor has anyone I have ever spoken to. That's why McDonald's is open 24 hours hahahah.

    Anyways, ignore them.
