Have you decided on where you're getting your food for your big day? catered? bringing your own, bringing in prepared food trays? Venue all inclusive?

Our venue doesn't allow homemade food to be brought in, but we can bring in food from locations. We're going to be going with Chicken Shack. They are really affordable and really delicious! They have party packs you can get that takes care of everything and they deliver too. We are just waiting on a final head count to order. We'll of course have a cake, but I'll be bringing in some fall based Michigan foods like cinnamon doughnuts and apple cider

What are you doing?

I grew up in Brownstown, graduated from Woodhaven high, i've lived all over downriver, love it here in Flat Rock! I lived in the GR area for a bit back in the early 90's. I lived in Wyoming, ex-inlaws were in Byron Center. I worked in Kentwood

I don't go there, I have several friends in the LGTBQ community and I don't like how the company goes against their rights.

Good for you Laura! This is the same company that opened their restaurant to feed the people of the LGBTQ community after the Orlando shooting! But you’ve got it all figured out!😊

In a way, you got to pick from ALL the food options though instead of being limited by what one caterer specializes in, hehe! My sister and her DH got married in a general purpose space that didn't have a caterer on site, and I remember them having lots of dates going to different restaurants and trying fun foods in order to pick their wedding caterer (they went with really good barbecue)

My entire family cook very well! I am giving them a menu and hope they can distribute it and make it stretch. Both our families are big so we need a lot of food. They will also be doing my decorating. I can say I am so happy to be blessed with a family who can pull together and be there for one another. Saves me a ton of $$$!

My fiancee's sister offered to cook, but the community center we're using doesn't allow home cooked food. We bring food in, but it has to be prepared by a store, restaurant, or caterer. I would have liked to have my family cook, we all love to cook

I'm just lucky because my parents are licensed to sell food and mom does catering here and there.

We just went over the menu with our caterer this weekend who happens to be the son of a good friend of my FW so this whole topic has me super excited right now. We plan to have a cocktail party reception and wanted various appetizers to be presented in stages throughout the day. We were careful to have meat and vegetarian options like lamb meatballs, teriyaki chicken on a stick, vegetarian stuffed mushrooms, and beef filled taco wonton cups. We're ordering a single tier cake and cupcakes in 4 different flavors (1 "beachy" the rest fall flavors we love) along with lemon bars, brownie bites, and some kind of cookie square. The caterer even made sure to let us know we'd each have a plate of everything set aside so we don't have to go without!!! And now I'm hungry! haha

I have a local caterer preparing the food. Pulled pork, grilled chicken, baby potatoes, green beans, rolls, salad with 4 dressings, relish tray, white cheddar mac n cheese, s'mores bar and cheesecake bites. With tea, lemonade, water, coffee and hot apple Cider.Smiley smile

We've tried everything and it's delicious! Warm, comfort foods. Smiley smile
