If that’s what appeals to you and your crowd, it’s not bad! If that’s what YOU want, go for it. If it fits your wedding vibe, personality, budget, etc. a lot of wedding food is disappointing from “typical” wedding style catering outfits, so going with something fun and familiar is not a bad idea in my opinion. I would consider your guests though in that would the majority like those foods - but at the end of the day, it’s your decision! I think it would be fun and I’d love getting to munch on some yummy Popeyes at a wedding 😄

I think that's fine, as long as you have someone to serve and bus the plates etc afterward. As long as you host food and drinks, that's what's required in terms of etiquette. You need to avoid asking your guests to do any of the catering jobs, though, so you'll need staff. On that note, if you're planning on ordering ahead, you'll need equipment to keep the food at food safe temperatures. Otherwise you risk making people ill from improperly handled food, of course. I think party rental places would have coolers and chafing dishes etc.

Nope, not bad at all. If that fits your budget, go for it. I bet a lot of people would like it. Chic Filet is a crowd pleaser, as well.

The venue provides all that the staff to clean etc. They also offer catering as well it's just that's gonna be extra. Catering would be another 6 to 7 thousand. Just trying to figure out how to get that number down. Because we are allowed to bring in our own food and alcohol.

I would be ecstatic if I arrived to a reception serving Olive Garden and Popeyes!! So many times people try to just get the cheapest catering package they can find, and it ends up being really bland or not so good food. You know Olive Garden and Popeyes is going to deliver some tasty stuff!

I personally wouldn’t for an actual meal (maybe as a late night snack ). I would get something a little higher end than those places.

I think that would make it even more special! People do specialty cocktails for their receptions based on the bride’s and groom’s favorite drinks – why not take it a step further with food?!

Not sure where you’re located, but if you’re in a big enough town where there’s multiple Olive Gardens and Pop Eyes, I’d read the reviews of the different locations and pick the ones in your town that have good averages. Maybe even CRTL + F on the keyboard and do a find of the word “cater” on the Yelp and Google Review pages to find reviews discussing how that store location’s catering experience was.

Olive Garden and Popeyes both sound wonderful to me! Plus, since they're favorites of yours, it will make it that much more personal and special.

If you and your crowd like that vibe, GO FOR IT! You’ll save so much money.

I’d be a happy wedding guest eating a burrito bowl from Chipotle or my favorite from Olive Garden - the gnocchi soup 😱💀Sounds fun!!

As long as it's properly handled re: temperature etc, then I think it would be great!

It sounds delicious. Not sure why there is such a stigma against it. If it works for corporate catering, why can’t it work for a wedding?

I had two friends who catered Chipotle for their rehearsal dinner and people loved it.

I think that is fine. It's your wedding so you should have what you like. Don't worry about what other people think. They can do what they like for their wedding. I would just have a variety of options so there is something for everyone.
