Our biggest splurge! We are having heavy h'ors devours at cocktail hour (passed and stationary), a plated dinner of Filet or Salmon, Cake, Extra sweet treats (macaroons and cake pops), and late night snacks of sliders and fries. FH and I were very picky about our food because we have been to too many formal weddings where there just wasn't enough food. We wanted to make sure our guests remembered how awesome the food was and we were able to splurge because we saved on other things (invites and photo/dj/videographer).

Splurge. Good food is more important to me than spending a lot on a dress, decor, or flowers. Guests will remember s good meal. They probably won't remember your flowers.

A little of both. The caterer is a friend who is giving us a deal as a gift, but we are also doing open bar and late night snack

Saving. Our venue allows the option to use our own caterer and MY UNCLE is a professional caterer and is doing our food. And he is more excited than we are. And his food is DELICIOUS!!!

Save! Brunch wedding so a lot cheaper than plated dinners and such. We will also still have a cocktail hour with 3 pass hor d'oeuvres.

Save. We got lucky finding our catering. Hes a local around our area and my MIL has used him for many events. Supplies all plates, utensils, and warming trays and has a huge smoker for about $500 then you buy your own meat and he'll smoke all of it for you. It's so delicious!

I think our choice is a save compared to other options we looked at. But they had the best food that we tried and flexible options out of all they ones we looked at.

Definitely splurging on food. We are doing a 4-course plated meal and top shelf open bar all night. FH and I sat down when we first started planning and each listed our top 3 items of importance to us. Food & booze was his #1 so it was important for me to give him that, since he never asks for much.

In addition to the pasta bar, we are adding subtle accents to our save the dates and invitations, flowers will be mostly white with olive branches as the greenery, the vases are tomato cans, our favors will be small bottles of olive oil, table numbers will be postcards from Italy, or at least post cards with Italian cities on them. Trying to think of few other ideas!

Im having a problem with this one. Food cost so much and we have so many people and we have to feed the vendors too. Im stressing now thinking about it. So i guess it would be Splurging.
