I've included in the invitations that we will have a cake/toast reception for 1 hour immediately after ceremony. Any suggestions will be appreciated Smiley smile

I would do 10am. I would still eat cake at 11am if offered to me. Not that much different than eating a mid-morning pastry. Lunch around 1pm and then you and your new FH can have a nice dinner just the two of you.

I would do the 10AM ceremony slot with the cake/toast and then do lunch with your guests. If you do noon, your guests will be starving.

Can the one-hour celebration be kind of the cocktail hour and then follow that with your meal?

I had an 11:30 am ceremony and we had to start getting hair and makeup done at 6 am. That's the only thing making me cringe at the thought of a 10 am ceremony... then again if your entire wedding is only 20 guests you probably don't have a bunch of bridesmaids getting ready with you so maybe you wouldn't have to get started before dawn. If that's the case, I'd go with the 10 am ceremony, and you'd be ready for the meal at noon which is a perfect time to eat lunch.

If you are going to skip dinner and just do food afterwards, I would say the 10am sounds pretty good.

If the lunch has to be so long after the ceremony, then you should go with a 10 a.m. ceremony and 1 p.m. lunch.

@Jacqui76 oh... I have a timing for that- H&MUA says that in order to be ready by 8:30 for pics if the wedding is at 10- I need to be ready to start by 3:30am hahahaha I almost died... I have 3 bridesmaid doing makeup, my stepmom doing her makeup, my mom and my grandma doing their hair and IDK yet if FMIL wants some service too- go figure lol

OMG if my H&MUA had said 3:30, or frankly anything before 6 am, I don't think I would have had a wedding to worry about because my bridesmaids- especially my sister- would have killed me LOL!!!
