Food trucks

Nothing inappropriate about it. They do take a long time to feed people so have a few on hand to alleviate the lines.

I don't think it is tacky, but I agree with the previous posters that said it could take a long time. I went to charity event last year where they had one food truck to serve about 50 people and it took forever.

Definitely more an issue of getting food out for everyone quickly than anything else. I think they are cool. Maybe a late night snack.

Food trucks are definitely becoming more popular at outdoor weddings and if done right, not tacky at all. I think the key is to make sure that you have multiple food trucks, depending on the number of guests, because nobody likes waiting in long lines.

In addition to the other feedback you've already received, I'd just add that food trucks are more appropriate for a casual wedding vs. a formal event.

If you decide to go with food trucks as your main meal PLEASE get the maitre’d to announce people by table. The last when we went to with food trucks became a gigantic cluster, it took over 90 minutes to get food, and it was terrible. Also the food truck showed up late, around 8 PM, and everyone was drunk before the food came out and it was only worse from there. I think it all depends on the venue and style of your wedding. I agree if you go with it make sure you have multiple ones cause it takes forever to get everyone their food. Also if you do it I think you should pay for it all so your guests don't have to pay for their own meals thats what makes it tacky. Some people who have food trucks at their wedding don't pay for the food and instead have their guests pay for their own food, to me having your guests pay for their own meals and drinks is tacky.
