Food Trucks!

Briann, on March 2, 2022 at 12:56 PM Posted in Planning 14 2
My fiancé and I were looking for venues that would allow food trucks and it is becoming really hard. Does anyone know of any venues in NJ/NY/PA that allow food trucks or BYO catering? Thanks in advance!

Food trucks are very hard on guests because they can only serve 1-2 people at a time. So some people will be done eating before others even get up to be served. These are the same tucks that are at the fairs and festivals with 20-50 years experience and they still are not able to productively feed everyone at the same time. A better option is to ask your favorite local casual restaurant to provide drop off catering. They fill large foil pans that fit into a chafing pan set up on a buffet table. If you need to, you can hire serving staff from thumbtack.com

As far as venues, look into parks department owned venues. These include community centers and they provide tables, chairs and a full kitchen. You provide everything else, which allows you more flexibility at a much lower price than an all inclusive. Another option is eventective.com and look up venues that allow outside catering. They are not that difficult to find once you know where to look.
