Football and weddings

There is nothing that you can do about the game being on the same day as your wedding, so what I feel would be best is to just embrace it. The people that are important to you will be at your wedding no matter what, so don’t worry about this.

Are you a football fan yourself?

I’ve had similar fears! As an OSU alum, I watch OSU football from time to time and enjoy attending games, but honestly could care less about it in general. However, all of my family has said “be careful about what game you plan your wedding over” and it’s really annoyed me I agree with PP, embracing it and just accepting that there will be games whether I like it or not has helped me cope. People told me I need to have a tv at the reception, but I said ABSOLUTELY NOT! If it’s not what you want, don’t give in! But if people are checking scores on their phones during the reception, I’m sure I’ll be too busy to notice!

nd don’t be afraid to make it known to people how you feel. If they really feel the need to miss your big day for a football game of all things, personally I feel there’s a bigger issue there! But I know some people absolutely love for football. I do not, so I guess I don’t understand.

Thank you both! I'm not a huge football fan but some of my soon to be in laws are. We are having a super small wedding and my fear is they will be more into the game. Like both of you said I'll just have to embrace it! Thank you.
