I was thinking this also but we are meeting the photogs at 830am next Saturday and I really don't want to wake up so much earlier. I figture I can do my own make up alright, right??

I didn't even do pro makeup for the wedding so I'm not the best person to ask. But yeah I think you can do your own hair and makeup

I always do my own makeup for everything, but sometimes I think its too dark, or not blended enough, or uneven etc. So I figured why not splurge. But now I am actually kinda nervous to have someone else do it!

Omg that is so early. Mine is at 4pm tomorrow.

I was super casual about my e-pics but am the same about the wedding, too. I used clothes I already have, did my own hair, make up, nails, etc. If I could have afforded to pamper myself I may have but I did them pretty late and had been paying for a lot of other wedding things! Live it up and enjoy. You only get e-pics once! ;-)

Our photos are this Sunday. Originally I was going to get a blowout at my salon. But they aren't open on Sundays and a different salon I considered isn't either. So I splurged and bought new makeup at Mac last weekend and a new curling iron. I'll do my own hair and makeup. I have been practicing all week.

I did go shopping for new clothes. And I will get my nails done.

I had my hair and makeup trial the day of my e-pics and I'm so happy I did. My hair was down (idea from Pinterest). And went to salon and got my nails done there.

I also plan on having my hair and makeup trial on e-pic day.

I was in Hawaii for my e-pics, and didn't know where to go for hair and make up, so I just went to Sephora, and did my own hair.

I did my engagement photos in September on the beach. I got my airbrush tan and makeup professionally done (wasn't happy with how my eyes came out and ended up fixing it). I normally get my hair done for everything but I decided just to curl it down and I think they came out natural. Good luck!

I had airbrush makeup & pro hairstylist. I feel like it was worth every penny! It ended up sprinkling during our shoot & my hair & makeup stayed looking great!

I got my wedding makeup trial done on the same day I took my engagement photos. I did my own hair though.

I splurged and got my hair and makeup done for my photos (same look as my profile pic here). I also used it as an opportunity to try out an artist to book for the wedding. SHe only charged $100 which around here is quite reasonable. I felt it was totally worth it! I am someone who really loves makeup and hair though so it's something I don't mind spending money on. I would say if you can afford it, do it. It makes the day so fun!

I'm going to get my hair done (I have a friend who does hair) and I'm going to get my nails done, but I'll probably do my own makeup. And I am definitely going to be buying some outfits!

I got my makeup done at Sephora and did my hair myself. The makeup looked great and photographed well. I didn't do anything too fancy with my hair, but it looked fine. The fog started to roll in and it got a little frizzy by the end. Oh well!

I had my hair done for our engagement pictures but I did my own makeup. I wanted loose curls with my hair down and I am TERRIBLE at doing my own hair. I attached a close up of my hair so you can see what it looked like. Keep in mind it was incredibly windy the day we took our pics so my hair does not look as great as it did when I left the salon haha.

I had pro makeup and my BM curled my hair the night before and pinned . I loved having full face since I don't normally wear makeup and my pictures came out gorgeous

For my first set of e-pics I had my makeup artist do my makeup trial the same day. It was a little heavy but it turned out nice. I just blew my hair dry so it was nice and straight, I love having it down anyway since it's so long.

The second set of photos was with a friend taking pictures (he has done engagement pics before though). I just got my makeup done at the clinique counter because I buy makeup there. They required that I buy two products from them for getting my makeup done there. They were way too light on the makeup but it worked. I could have done about the same job myself though. However, if we had gotten our pictures done on a Saturday instead of a Sunday, I was going to get my makeup done at a cosmetology school. As for hair, I slept with braids in my hair the night before to create a wavy effect and that was it.

I did both...my hair was a beachy curl that was inspired by the way Jessica Beil's hair gets done. Unfortunately it rained twice during the photos and we had to duck into a bar. Factor that in with the humidity that day and the fact that my hair doesn't hold curl well and it flattened out to its natural state. I was glad that I got my make up done and added lashes though. What I thought was WAY too much makeup and caked on translated great through the photos

I got both done. I like a smokey look with dark eyes, so I just found a picture on the internet and my MUA nailed it. For hair, I had extensions put in and actually took a pic of a bride from here because she had the perfect loose curls. The extensions didn't hold a curl terribly well, but they still looked good.

We did 2 sessions and out theme was city girl meets country boy. On a Friday night we took pictures in the city and and on Saturday evening we took pictures in the country where we live. I did my own makeup both days and on the city day I had my hair done but it fell significantly due to the humidity.
