For indoor ceremonies with columns on the aisle

Gee O. aka Happily Wifed Up, on May 26, 2012 at 9:54 AM Posted in Planning 0 9

Is everyone having flowers on their columns? What other options apart from flowers can there be? I am not having an aisle runner and my location gives me columns and I feel this is the only other option to create an aisle but I have nothing to put on top of them and I really dont want flowers due to the cost of those even if they are synthetic.

Is it only flowers that go on columns?

    Tulle.

Edit- I read that you said on top. I really don't think you "have" to put anything on top, how tall are the collumns?

Is your ceremony in a different room than your reception?

If "Yes" just use your kissing balls in both locations. No reason to buy more. You can just use the ones you already own. Maybe just go to www.dollartree.com and get some short square vases or something to balance them on.

FH and I went to a ceremony where the bride chose candles and kissing balls. At first I thought it was too much, but the more I looked at it, the more I loved it.

Hayley I think I will just do that. Was avoiding having to buy vases because my kissing balls for the reception might be too big for these vases but I guess I will have to buy other vases for them
