For those who purchased their linens/chaircovers, etc.

If you purchased your chair covers, when did you order them? Did you order for how many people you were inviting, or did you take of 10%-20% of that number and "hope for the best." How did you handle it?

I purchased mine from linentablecloth.com for $1.99 a peice with an additional 10% off. I ordered them about 3 weeks before the wedding, after I got my final head count. They came in the next week so I had plenty of time. The reception manager said to order about 10% more because people love to chair hop. He was absolutely right. I had 65 people and ordered 75 chair covers. People jumped from table to table and had a fantastic time.

I ordered from LinenTableCloth.com. I don't know exactly when I ordered, but I know it wasn't more than a couple of weeks until I received them.

I actually ordered a few more than I thought I needed, just to be on the safe side. And I was glad I did. In some instances, I wanted a few extra linens to cover tables I hadn't thought about, and it was nice not to have to place a whole new order. And it turned out that linens and chair covers were among the easiest things to sell, for about the same amount as I paid for them. The reason is that the sellers charge a big premium if you don't order an exact multiple of 10. Since I was willing to sell any quantity the buyer wanted (up to the number I had), buyers were happy to buy, say, two chair covers for 1/5 the price I had originally paid for ten.

I bought all of mine on craigslist at a significant discount. 175 chair covers with gold sashes and matching gold table runners for $185. I got 13 round white table cloths for $75. I have more than I need, but I figured I would sell it all later, so it doesn't matter.

I have my order split up and planned for 100% attendence

We have 110 invited so I'm planning for 11 tables. For me, it wasn't a big deal if I was one table & 10 chairs over if we wind up w/ 100 guests as I'll be selling them afterwards.

I ordered chair covers from http://www.linentablecloth.com Satin for 1.89 a piece.

Some of the tableclothes & satin napkins from http://smartyhadaparty.com and some others table clothes & overlays from http://www.tableclothsfactory.com

I split the orders to ensure I got free shipping but allowing me to get the best price possible for each piece of linen required.

Oh and I ordered some of the stuff now - based on coupons and deals that each of the companies were running.

The overlays are here now because I wanted to customize them at my leisure instead of waiting til the last minute & causing me extra stress

I didn't use chair covers, but I did use my own table cloths. BIGGEST MISTAKE I MADE!

The cleaning, ironing and transport was a PIA! You may spend more renting them, but it will save you so much time and hassle. You'll have to wash and iron every single one of those chair covers before the wedding- then store them in a way they won't get wrinkled. I spent 3 hours ironing 5 tablecloths! Never, never again.

Hi Rachelle, I haven't it purchased from any company but will be using the one that cousins had purchased from online linen selling company Sculptwareonline. These linens and chair covers are awesome in look. You can have a look!

Hello all. I am thinking of ordering some satin chair covers from one of the wholesaler sites. I need about 550 covers. Can someone please tell me how much work it was to get the wrinkles out? would I be better off just renting from someone and paying the premium price or should I save a few hundred dollars and do this myself? can someone please advise I am getting married on the 23rd of July. I need to order within the week.
