Forgot to include wedding website! UGH

Ashley S, on February 18, 2013 at 7:00 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 10

I swear I cannot do anything right the first time lol (bought 3 wedding dresses, have now ordered 2 sets of invitations...)

I realized that I forgot to include our wedding website anywhere on the invitation or reception card. Is it as big of a deal as I think it is? I want people to use it to book their hotel rooms in our block with the discounted rate and for any other info available there...

I contacted the company and they offered me 40% off a reprint (maybe more if I called instead of using the online chat service)... I asked about the possibility of having a business card sized insert with the website on there but they have nothing like that available...

Does anyone have any other suggestions to solve this problem? Should I just reprint?

BTW- I did include it on the save the date... so maybe that's enough?

Hi date twin!! I did the exact same thing, and elected to have mine reprinted. Its funny you mention the business card insert, because I tried to order an ivory card from Vista Print. Unfortunately, their ivory did not match the ivory of my invitations. The end result was to have the cards reprinted through the company I purchased the invitations from. I am having a destination wedding, so I am relying on the website to provide important information to my guest. If it is not as important, I would just rely on the save the date. I have seen many invitations that did not include it.

Can you add another card rather than reprinting? Get the free/cheap business cards from VP that you can throw in there?

I would just include an insert of the website. An accent color or something.

Haha Mrs. Hawkins-- that is probably what I will end up doing! I can def see the importance of that with a destination wedding!

The only issue I can see with an extra card is finding one with the exact texture because the rest of the cards are on textured thick paper and as I said, they do not offer an option to match the invitation set. An accent color is a cute idea... maybe I will look into that!

Just do a separate card as an insert in an accent color. I wouldn't worry about having them reprinted.

I just ordered a business size card from Vista print. It's not exactly the same as the invites but it's not that big of a deal to me.

I wouldn't reprint, just get an insert card in an accent color and it wouldn't have to be through the same company just somewhere close by you could diy Smiley smile
