Found a way to enjoy my dress twice!

So I found myself in the position of absolutely loving my dress and wanting to wear it all night long, but it not being convenient to wear barhopping after the reception due to the train. I didn’t want to change out of my dress for the second half of my evening, and forfeit all those pictures of me in it; but I also didn’t want to carry around my train all night or compromise the look of the dress with a bustle (NOT a fan of bustles). So, I came up with an out-of-the-box alternative... I purchased the exact same dress twice! I found a discounted sample of my dress (so I didn’t have to pay full price for it), and I am going to have it shortened into a party dress that I can wear out barhopping! Now, I will technically be able to wear my wedding dress ALL night long without any of the inconvenience!
Has anyone else found an out-of-the-box solution for issues with their weddings?

I haven’t shown anyone my dress besides my mom (who was with me when I found it), and my 2 best friends. Everyone, including all my family, is 100% expecting me to wear a black wedding dress because I vowed that was the only color I would wear. To my surprise, I fell in love with a more traditional colored dress! So I am just letting everyone continue to think I am wearing a black dress. They are all going to be shocked at my ceremony.

Most likely or even just hanging out in the hotel’s casino/bar area a bit. The reception ends at 11 PM. So, quite frankly, I’ll probably be so tired from the day that I won’t be able to hang for too long anyway.

I think that is a fabulous idea!! I tried to purchase the sample from my bridal salon, but by the time I'd checked it'd been sold and the gown discontinued. I can't wait to see your pics!! What an awesome idea!!

Ah gotcha. I was going to say if you were planning on hitting the strip or something, you may want to consider removing the train so you don’t have to carry it around all night. But, if you don’t think you’ll be hitting the streets or anything, then it may not be necessary

Well then we are two peas in a pod!! 😭 I'll say extra prayers for you and visa versa, please. Meds made me gain 50lbs in 10 days. 😱 Not kidding. Now praying the Drs can figure a way to get me back to normal weight. I don't mean this unkindly, but it's nice to have someone in the same situation to sympathize with! What we go through, but WE WILL MAKE IT!! 😊
