Ok so it's my day off and I'm spending it eating cookies and watching TV lol. I'll run some errands later but for now, it's Four Weddings. Has anyone ever noticed that in the older episodes brides used to score each other a lot higher? Like at the end when they reveal their final scores they used to be close to, if not higher than 100. Now it's rare if the winner even reaches 90. The highest score I've seen in a long time is an 89. Clearly brides are trying to underscore each other to better their chances. I just think it's hilarious. Ok my pointless post is done. Lol

I do think that sometimes they have legitimate reasons to underscore. Like when a bride is an hour late or there aren't enough seats for the guests and they are standing during the ceremony. But sometimes it's like "I don't care for chicken, but I got the chicken and it was gross" like WTF.

I watched one yesterday that had 4 grooms judging instead of brides! It got weird. Especially when they talked about the other brides dresses lol

I'm not really a fan of the show and the whole "grading" and making weddings into a competition... I just like to see all the different styles people have

I always wondered.. What if they tie in score and experience score?? Then what?.. Do they both win?

@Pinky that just happened in this episode. Two brides were actually dead even in ALL categories. A true "tie". They gave the win to the bride based on an "originality" tie breaker.

I love the show, but the overall concept is pretty crappy.

All I want to see if the "and Cherry Blossoms..." episode, apparently it's the episode my venue is in and the bride who hosted her wedding there was a winning bride, but when I searched for it I've never been able to find it!

I watched the groom one yesterday too. They were so hard on that one "foodie" guy's food.

I really don't like how the guest brides will say they didn't like one element such as the ceremony decor and they will give the bride a 5. It's like so because you didn't like 1 thing they get an F? I also don't think they should judge the dress because it's such a personal thing that most brides get emotional over so I don't think anyone has the right to judge another person's wedding dress. Like who cares if that's not what you pictured the bride wearing she liked it and wanted to wear it for her wedding back off.

I just watched the grooms one yesterday (had never seen that one before) was dying laughing at how they described the wedding dresses...

"Um yeah, it was a nice dress. It was ... white...."

"I liked her dress. It showed off her bosom nicely."

    LMAO!

Since TLC tanked 19 Kids and Counting they've had to fill their early morning time slot with something. TLC now put Four Weddings in it's place. I love Four Weddings so I set my DVR, everyday I come home from work and there's 3-4 new episodes. I think FW critiques the weddings more than I do. I agree though, the brides underscore for sure. I love the episodes where you can tell even though they didn't like aspects of each other's weddings, they still liked each other and might actually be friends after. Those episodes are my favorite.

@lolsen LOL the "redhead" seems so stuck up and bitchy. It's like she knew she was boring and tried so hard to make it more fun. Haha.

@Kimberly I know! But I would slap that curly head girl. I don't want her to win because I want to hear what she says about it haha

I've been off for 3 weeks and watch it like everyday smh, but I did notice that! It's like if someone feels another is the competition they will give them a low score. If the centerpiece is large and high "Oh, it's too over the top." If it's a small centerpiece "I expected her to do more on the tables." LOL. It just goes to show everyone has an opinion and you can't please folks. Do your thing and enjoy your day!

@Lynnie I agree! One episode had a lady that spent 100K and another that spent 15K. The 100K one didn't win though. The other brides expected extravagance and didn't get it I guess.

@angelique I remember that one! They were like "where was all the money spent?" Lol I'm guessing on the venue and dress because I also thought it was kind of bland.
