It's been more than a decade now... but when my friend got married, she just got her husband's wedding band free online... Is there such a thing anymore?

What style of band was that? I think some promotions have been done with an offer of wedding bands. (At first I was thinking of a musical band, but your question made sense after more reflection.) There might have been some promotions mentioned here about marketing schemes that entice couples with the free bands.
