Freestanding Wooden Letters

Rachel, on June 11, 2013 at 3:30 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 15

Does anyone know where I can buy freestanding wooden letters other than Etsy?

I just googled "free standing wood letters" and found mostly etsy but still several other websites mixed in... I belive Hobby Lobby, Michaels and other craft stores have them as well but you'd have to paint or stain them yourself.

JoAnn's and Michaels has paper mache letters in a variety of sizes that are easy enough to paint (I've done it).

I was going to suggest the stores Kim & Paris suggested.

I'll also add in if you go to any of those stores make sure you sign up for their emails. I know that HL and Michael's both send you 20% coupons just for signing up. :-)

I bought some at Michaels and painted them myself. Also bought the base and glued them in place using a glue gun. Fabulous!

I got some at TJ Maxx / Marshalls. The ones I got were white since this is the color I wanted, but you could definitely paint them if wanted.

Pretty much any craft store should have them. I've seen them in various styles in both Hobby Lobby and Michaels.

Michael's. They come in unfinished, black and white. Different materials. Different sizes. Paint nearby.

I got mine off eBay, but they weren't free standing. We had to put a little base on them. I'm on my phone now so can't upload a pic, but ill come back to update w pics later. We did numbers for the tables and Mr & Mrs signs.

I got mine at JoAnns and painted it (paper mache letter). I also got a large wooden letter from there that I wrapped in twine and and using a plate stand to display.

Just saw an idea on Pinterest yesterday where someone used fabric to cover their freestanding letters instead of paint. I hadn't thought of that.
