I realized awhile ago that my wedding on November 13th of 2020 lands on a Friday. I’m not really superstitious but every time people realize it they give me the “oh no” look and I get a little anxious. I love the date because my birthday is on the 11th and my FH’s is on 12th, so we like to say 13 is...

I love the date because my birthday is on the 11th and my FH’s is on 12th, so we like to say 13 is our next step so I wouldn’t change it but I was wondering if anyone else’s wedding lands on a Friday the 13th or if they believe in the bad luck of being married on Friday the 13th?

Sounds spicy to me! I think you’ll be fine. Most weddings have crazy things happen and they are mostly in Saturday’s so I think you’re good. Also November is just an awesome month anyways because our birthdays are during it. 😎

I was married on Sept 13 2013. My husband was born on a Friday the 13th so I felt it was one of the best days of my life. We will renew on our date and we celebrate us every Friday the 13th instead of waiting a whole year for the anniversary.

I'm sure you'll be fine. Don't let them get to you. It's funny though cause now I'm thinking about it, my FH picked a random date and when I looked it up, it was the 13th on a friday and my first reaction was like you're crazy lol. He laughed at me. I'm not superstitious but just growing up around the superstition, that was my initial reaction and we ended up changing it. I honestly doubt t's going to ruin anything for you guys.

We decided to have our wedding on Friday, September 13th. I am big into horror and all things creepy and superstitious. Plus my original date I was denied. I wanted to get married on my parents anniversary (September 21st) but instead we settled for my grandmothers birthday. (September 13th). Plus we didn't want to do the wedding and the reception on the same day, so friday we're getting married and saturday we're having our reception.

I’ve never been superstitious, and I like the number 13 specifically because people don’t

I think it's Soo cool that it aligns with your birthdays! If you weren't superstitious before, then don't worry about it! You have a special date with an even better meaning behind it! Congrats!! 🎉🎉💞

I've always found that I have good luck on that date🤷
It's just a number, I'm not a superstitious person. I have a black cat, I walk under ladders,
I think it's unique and why not?
    Go for it!

My cousin got married on Friday the 13th. Some people were weird about it and tried talking them out of it. They’re one of the happiest couples I know.

That is superstition. Don't listen to people. If you and your FH are happy and that is the date you choose, then go for it. Celebrate your day. You are going to have a beautiful wedding.

My wedding is September 13, 2019. I too have received the Oh wow Friday the 13th look, however I am not superstitious and I know that for the couples I know who have wed on 9/13 have had long successful marriages. That my focus, it just another freaky Friday like all the other Fridays that aren’t the 13th where anything can happen.

We are getting married Friday, March 13, 2020. My FH was born on a Friday the 13th and he turned out fine. Lol. We aren’t superstitious about it. People bring it up but we don’t care. March 13 is the day my uncle died and the 14 is when my FH mother died so we hope that they will be watching over us on our special day.

I meet my future wife on Friday the 13th. We have been together for almost 5 yrs. We wanted to get married March 13th, 2020. Our 5 yr anniversary, but no available venue on the beach in Seista Key, Florida for that date. So it may be November 2020.

We are getting married September 13, 2019 and it is a Friday. We have been loving it! A marriage is not about luck or superstition, it'll work if a couple works hard. Enjoy it! We are even considering throwing in some fun stuff like "The Book of the Recently Deceased" form Beetlejuice instead of a guest book.

Hey there fellow Friday the 13th-er! We’re getting married on Friday March 13 2020! Our venue’s name is the superstition golf resort so we have been making jokes about a superstitious wedding at superstition golf. We’ve been getting a lot of “oh no” from people too but we love it and have been thinking of funny ways to incorporate some subtle superstitious things into our wedding like covering a ladder in flowers to make our guests walk under as they enter the reception! In the end, it’s your day! If the date doesn’t bother you then who cares if it’s “Friday the 13th”. If anything it’ll just make it more special and easier for everyone to remember!

We are getting married on Sept 13, 2019 which is a Friday. We have always had really great things happen to us on almost every Friday the 13th so we wanted to have the greatest thing ever happen once again on a Friday 13. We aren’t superstitious at all but we & our families are both from the south making most of our older generations really creeped out by it. Bottom line, it’s your day and you get to do whatever you want. It’s a day we’ll always remember. I love how your date lines up with your birthdays. That’s so special!! 💖

I think this is something only Americans believe in. I never heard of it before since my family that’s from another country don’t believe so first time I heard it I was around 14 years old. I wouldn’t pay much attention to it.

We are eloping to New Orleans on Friday March 13th 2020 and doing it all superstition themed on purpose cause most my family is apposed to the wedding. They want use to just do a court wedding and no celebration. For one it's my 2nd marriage and 2 we have already have a 3 year old together. I am even wearing a purple dress and my Fh is wearing Jean's and a button up shirt. We are going to New Orleans just us and then spending a couple days for honeymoon and then doing reception when get back on the 21st.

We had the same idea for our reception and black cat center pieces. And a couple other ideas I am considering.
