I have wanted a Saturday wedding from the start. But seeing how much cheaper it is on a Friday is making me wonder. I just know I hated having to rush from work on a Friday afternoon to make it to a weeding. What are your thoughts on Friday vs Saturday weddings?

We are having a Friday wedding. The majority of our friends are teachers or out of country. We picked a Friday during the majority of their fall breaks which made it very feasible. Family was completely on board for whatever we decided.

I'm a big proponent of Saturday weddings because they're easier for most people's work schedules. Booking a Saturday was my #1 priority even though it was 5k more expensive.

BUT I also understand the need to save money and do a Friday wedding. Just be ok with people coming later or not being able to make it.

How much money would you save on a Friday? And how many of your guests work into the afternoons on Fridays and would be inconvenienced? If you're saving $5k and you only have 5 people who might have to take off the afternoon, it's for sure worth it. If you're saving $500 and the majority of your guests work M-F 9-5, definitely not. Perhaps you could make a list to weigh those factors?
