We are having a Friday wedding and haven't had any declines specifically because it was a Friday. Our ceremony will be at 6:15 and dinner will be served at 7:15. A lot of people are excited to have the rest of the weekend to themselves. Most people that really want to be at your wedding will make it work no matter what day of the week it is.

Hey we are having a Friday wedding and so far we have not had that problem. but we also right away told our close family the date as soon as we picked it so they had plenty of time. All of my family is traveling and not from here so they are excited to have a long weekend!!

FH and I chose a Sunday so it's a similar issue. I know that a fair number of people will want or need to take Monday off from work to attend. I'm a bit concerned but I know that our nearest and dearest will be there.

I'm doing a Thursday evening. We actually have a sizable amount of guests who are retired or work weekends/schedules other than 9-5 M-F. We're only inviting people we're really close to and may even have 100% attendance.

I work 8-6 M-F and wouldn't feel the least bit inconvenienced if it was anyone I cared about. I would just (gladly, lol) take the day off or leave early. Then again, FH and I have a good amount of paid vacation days.

We are having a Friday wedding as well, our ceremony starts at 6 so that gives people plenty of time to get there from work.

I did a Friday wedding (evening) and all the guests knew about it well ahead of time so they all planned to make it. Friday weddings are very common.

Friday weddings are much less expensive than Saturday weddings so it made sense to us so we could meet for our food & beverage minimum. The Saturday F&B minimum was outrageous I would have had to double my guest count to meet it!

My wedding is a Friday night starting at 7. So far there have been no issues of people being able to make it due to the day of week!

We're doing a Friday wedding with a 7:30 start time. We invited 139 & final numbers are at 122. My declines were all out of towners.

My niece had a Friday wedding and I had to take 1/2 day PTO and my DH had to lose an entire day of PTO. The mom of one of the GM's was stuck in traffic and they wouldn't start without her so the ceremony started late (ugh!). While Friday weddings are becoming more popular, and attendance might not suffer, IMO it is typically more troublesome and costly for your guests.

We are doing a Friday night. Most of our guest will be from out of state so they (more than likely) would have taken some time off work to come to the wedding anyway. FH has several friends at work he would like to invite. He works for FedEx and most his friend would not be able to take time off so we are prepared that they may only be able to come celebrate with us at the reception or may not be able to make it at all.

I'm getting married on a Friday - we invited 120, will have about 90 guests. Ours is also a semi-destination (5 hr drive for most guests). We sent out STDs super far in advance, so people knew it was a Friday. It hasn't been an issue for us.

We have gotten a few declines because it's the time kids go back to school and I invited a few teachers.

We're getting married on a Friday. Most of our guests are from OOT, so they'll be here Thursday night. With everyone else, they've said is not a problem. Honestly, with plenty of notice whoever wants to be there they'll be there.

Ours is a Friday. The ceremony starts at 6:30, but I'm sure we will still have some declines, and that's OK.

We're doing a Friday DW. People will be trickling in Weds and Thursday but no one seemed bothered by taking the Friday off work to fly down. Our ceremony is at 5 so I know a couple people flying in the early afternoon.
