I looked into it, but all they do us gather the forms and pre-fill some of the information. It honestly took me no time at all to fill out the forms, especially since the only forms are for the SSA, passport, and DMV. Everywhere else just accepted a scanned copy or my new driver's license and marriage certificate in an email as proof of name change. I didn't think it was worth the cost for them to fill out my name and address on 3 forms.

These name change services are a waste of money. Changing your name is very easy and free. All forms can be found online and the entire process (new SS card, new ID, bank info, etc) took me less than 1 month.

Waste of money. Why pay someone to print out forms that you can print yourself from the internet? You still have to do everything else yourself.

This is exactly why I asked.

Thank you ladies for all your open and honest responses to my questions. I was curious about it and at first glance it seems super helpful. But after you really read it you realize that it's really not all that complicated and with some patience you can just do it yourself.
