Full Ocean View and Jacuzzi on the balcony

Take a look at the Iberostar Grand Paraiso in Playa del Carmen. They have exactly those requests. Either the superior ocean front suite or superior OF corner suite.

No idea why there are naysayers acting like this budget is unreasonable (in hurricane season no less). In Mexico I don't think I could spend $5k on a vacation if I TRIED. I've stayed MULTIPLE oceanfront places with jacuzzis on the balconies for under $3,000 total. Unless you are trying to go somewhere for like a month this is easily doable.

I mean we flew all the way to freaking Mauritius and stayed in a giant stand alone villa overlooking the ocean with a private pool http://www.lakazchamarel.com/en/comfort.aspx#!prettyPhoto[1358]/0/ and still spend less than $5k INCLUDING activities.

Just coming on to say Now Jade Riviera Maya will probably work for you at that time. I went last October and it was 10/10.

We're staying at the Excellence in Punta Cana. in December. Junior swim up suite with an oceanview and we're paying $4300 with airfare, for 7 nights. It looks like the terrace suite with an oceanview and a plunge pool (not exactly a jacuzzi) is a couple suites up on the list. I think it would be reasonable to say you could get it with a $5K budget.

We stayed at the Imperial Maya Riveria in/outside Playa Del Carmen- we didn't have a flat out and out ocean front- like we were probably 40 yards? from the ocean- but nothing but nature between us and the water- and we had a nice hot tub with jets.

We were there for 5 nights and 6 days- and it was definitely under 5000.

I agree with Elk- Riveria Maya's are 10/10- fabulous.

Yes, H10 resorts has hotels with both of those things! We're going to Rivera Maya and they have a package with a balcony jacuzzi for around $4000 total. They have resorts all over the world too

Excellence Playa Mujeres -check it out! We honeymooned there and it was amazing! They have suites that offer what you're looking for

You can get away with this but only if your flights are cheap, you go during herricane/rainy season and you limit what you do.

Having a nice private place is nice but can you afford to do other things in those countries?

We are going to Bali for 2 weeks but only a resort for 5 days and even then we are doing lots of activities during our stay there. The rest of the time in Bali are tours, hiking tours and travel around that will cost us some more $$$.

We are going to Thailand so our money will go further. We aren't getting a jacuzzi but it is a infinity style pool of our own that overlooks the ocean!

Excellence resorts has them! I'm pretty sure my resort where I'm staying has them, excellence Rivera Cancun, idk if it would be under 5,000 though since you want a jacuzzi and ocean view that's a lot lol

WOW!!! That's so inexpensive! We are flying out of Cleveland so we will most likely pay more. However, I think Phuket is an experience of a lifetime.
